At Cour-Cheverny, 41700 Loir-et-Cher, Centre, produce excellent red, rose, sparkling and white wines from the appellations. The reds are made predominantly from Gamay, Pinot Noir grapes, in some instances supported by Cabernet Franc. The dry whites are made from Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes, except for the Cour-Cheverny which uses the distinctive local Romorantin grape.
