Directions to Chateau Grinou

Monestier lies about 10 miles south east of Bergerac - south of the Dordogne river.

From BERGERAC follow the D936 eastwards towards Ste Foy-la-Grande.

In GARDONNE, take the first left after the main traffic lights and head south on the D4 over the railway line towards SAUSSIGNAC. After about 1 mile go straight across the crossroads with the D14 and up the hill into the village of SAUSSIGNAC. Go straight through the village passing the Chateau on your left, a little further on Chateau Richard on your right and after about 1 mile turn RIGHT at the crossroads and down the hill into MONESTIER. Go past the Relais de Monestier and the church and turn LEFT signposted GAGEAC-ET-ROUILLAC, Chateau Grinou is the last property on the right before you leave the village for the open countryside.

If you get lost be sure to ask for GUY CUISSET as there are several Cuissets in the village, some of whom also make wine.

You are advised to call beforehand, as otherwise Guy may be out in the vines somewhere, And do not expect a fancy tasting room - here the focus is on the vines and the wine - but you will always get a warm welcome and Guy speaks good English!
