French public holidays in 2007
Bear in mind that that in practise the holiday may well extend into the weekend before or after.
The French tend to adhere to strict dates so that Public Holidays can fall at a weekend. Note also that if a Public Holiday falls on a Thursday then many French people abd businesses will extend it to a long weekend, Also note that autoroute tolls on the main routes into and out of Paris may be higher around these dates and those restauranst which are open are likely to be heavily booked, especially for lunch.

Tuesday 25 December 2007 - Christmas Day (Noël)
Wednesday 26 December 2007 - Deuxième jour de Noël (Alsace)
