Travelling to France - Western Channel with Brittany Ferries

brittany ferriesThere are numerous options for getting to France from the UK. Much depends on where you are starting from and heading to - and time and budget!

The western channel crossings from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth offered by Brittany Ferries are longer (5 hours+) and more expensive - but the boats tend to be less crowded and restaurants more typically French - and if you calculate the savings on time, fuel and overnight accommodation, then they can offer good value compared to the short sea crossings - especially for western and southwestern France
